New information on the Paw Paw Bait Company surfaces from time to time. Many of these discoveries are small bits of information gleaned from Hardware chain catalogs from the 1930's through the 1950's. As I find this information I will post it here. If you have any information you would like to share please contact me.
A listing for two additional colors for this lure have been found. The additional color are:
This display is listed on page 31 of the Paw Paw book. The wood Bait display boards were available at no charge in 1953 with the order of six dozen assorted Paw Paw Baits in any of the following numbers: 72, 73, 300, 400, 3700, 3800, 3900, 4000, 4100, 4500, 6600, 7100, or 7200. The boards are made of mahogany and display 36 baits. The catalog lists the dimensions as 24 inches high and 18 inches wide.
Paw Paw sold lures to Sears who marketed them under the Meadowbrook Lures name. Some of these lures were sold in Meadowbrook boxes and some were sold in Paw Paw boxes. Sears used their own numbering system on these lures. Sears did not use different numbers to designate the different colors of a particular type of Paw Paw lure they were selling. The end result of that decision meant that anywhere from 2 to 4 colors are listed under the same number. The following chart was compiled from 2 Sears Retail Merchandise Lists.

*Silver Flash(Silver Flitters) listed one place on page and Silver Scale(Shiner Scale) listed in another place on same page. Obviously one is a typographical error.
Meadowbrook gave some of the Paw Paw colors different names. For example, Shiner Scale they called Silver Scale or Silver Shiner; Pike Scale they called Dace Scale; and Silver Flitters they called Silver Flash or Silver Speckles.
